Privacy Policy

1. INTRODUCTION

GO25 PTE LTD (website url address: http://go25.sg/) owns and maintains the private car hiring platform GO25. Customers and drivers use separate mobile apps to connect each other through the platform. This privacy policy covers the entire system including the customer app (GO25) and the driver app (Drive25). Please read this Privacy Policy prior to using the platform.

2. DATA COLLECTED
REGISTRATION DATA

When you register through the mobile apps, we store your name, email address, and mobile phone number as your user profile. For driver registration, we store more details about your vehicle and driving licence and other relevant documents. You can see, and edit your personal information at any time through the app. Platform administrators can also see and edit this information.

LOCATION DATA

If you are using our platform as a driver providing transportation services to our customers, your location data will be collected periodically and sent to the server. You can turn this off by going “offline” on the app. Your location data is used by the system for two purposes i)To allocate you nearby jobs and ii) To help display your car position on customer’s phone while you drive to pick him/her We do not store your location history anywhere on the system. We keep your current location only – just one set of records. This record will be deleted once you go offline on the app.

CONTACT FORM

Information submitted through the contact form on our web site is sent to our company email directly. These submissions are only kept for customer service purposes they are never used for marketing purposes or shared with third parties.

CASES FOR USING THE PERSONAL DATA

We use your personal information in the following cases:

  • Verification/identification of the user during app usage;
  • If you are the customer booking a car, we shall send your name, phone number and photo to the driver’s app. This is to help identify you as the customer and establish communication over phone if required;
  • If you are the driver accepting a booking, your name, phone number, photo and the vehicle number will be sent to the customer. This is to allow your customer to indentify the vehilce and you as the driver; and to establish communication through phone if necessary;
  • Chat communication between driver and customer will be stored in the server. This information will be looked through, by the system administrator in case any dispute arises between the customer and the driver.
  • If you are the driver, our authorised personnel will look through your documents to verify your identity and your vehicle and driving documents; Your driver account will be approved only after these verifications on our end;
  • If you are the driver, your location data (latitude and longitude) will be used to calculate the distance between you and customer’s pick up location. Your current location will also be sent to customer’s app in order to display your car position while you drive towards the pick up location;

5. WHO HAS ACCESS TO YOUR DATA

If you are not a registered as a Customer or Drive for our mobile apps, there is no personal information we can retain or view regarding yourself.

If you have registered as a Customer or Driver (or both) using our mobile apps, your personal information can be accessed by:

  • Our system administrators.
  • Our support team members (limited access on a need basis, to handle the support issue).
6. THIRD PARTY ACCESS TO YOUR DATA

We don’t share your data with third-parties in a way as to reveal any of your personal information like email, name, etc. In case such a need arises in future, we shall get permission from you before sharing the information. The only exception to this rule is for legal purposes (see section 11 below).

7. HOW LONG WE RETAIN YOUR DATA

We will do a clean up of user data once in a year. This means if you have not used our platform for the last one year, your personal data will get deleted automatically. This is regarding the registration data

Data related to bookings and money transaction will remain with us for a period that we are required to keep legally.

Other data you may submit to us through contact us form, which are sent as email to our company address, will be cleared 6 months after the issue is closed. Such email threads will be deleted permanently.


8. SECURITY MEASURES

We use the SSL/HTTPS protocol throughout our site. This encrypts our user communications with the servers so that personal identifiable information is not captured/hijacked by third parties without authorization.

Critical data in our database are encrypted. However, data encryption is not implemented for entire data, as that will affect the performance and usability of the system. We have implemented multiple layers of security checks to prevent fraudulent access of personal data. We shall review this from time to time in order to ensure our security measures are fully reliable at all times.

In case of a data breach, system administrators will immediately take all needed steps to ensure system integrity, will contact affected users and will attempt to reset passwords if needed.

In case of a serious data breach that involves mass data, we will also seek help from authorities and government agencies as well as experts from our cloud hosing company who can advice and assist us in the system rectification and recovery process.

9. YOUR DATA RIGHTS
GENERAL RIGHTS

If you have a registered account on our platform, you can request an exported file of the personal data we retain, including any additional data you have provided to us.


You can also request that we erase any of the personal data we have stored. This does not include any data we are obliged to keep for administrative, legal, or security purposes. In short, we cannot erase data that is vital to you being an active customer (i.e. basic account information like an email address).

If you wish that all of your data is erased, you will not be able to use any of the services offered on GO25 platform.

Singapore PDPA COMPLIANCE

Your privacy is critically important to us. Going forward with the PDPA we aim to follow the PDPC recommendations. GO25 wishes to ensure our users and drivers that their personal data is fully protected on our platform. Therefore, it is the intent of GO25 to take proactive steps to comply with the Singapore Personal Data Protection Act. For more details on PDPA please see here: PDPA Overview.

10. THIRD PARTY WEBSITES

GO25 may post links to third party websites on the mobile app and its website. These third party websites are not screened for privacy or security compliance by GO25, and you release us from any liability for the conduct of these third party websites.

All social media sharing links, either displayed as text links or social media icons do not connect you to any of the associated third parties, unless you explicitly click on them.

Please be aware that this Privacy Policy, and any other policies in place, in addition to any amendments, does not create rights enforceable by third parties or require disclosure of any personal information relating to members of the Service or Site. GO25 bears no responsibility for the information collected or used by any advertiser or third party website. Please review the privacy policy and terms of service for each site you visit through third party links.

11. RELEASE OF YOUR DATA FOR LEGAL PURPOSES

At times it may become necessary or desirable to GO25, for legal purposes, to release your information in response to a request from a government agency or legal entities. You agree that we may disclose your information to a third party where we believe, in good faith, that it is desirable to do so for the purposes of a civil action, criminal investigation, or other legal matter. We may also proactively report you, and release your information to, third parties where we believe that it is prudent to do so for legal reasons, such as our belief that you have engaged in fraudulent activities. You release us from any damages that may arise from or relate to the release of your information to a request from law enforcement agencies.

Any passing on of personal data for legal purposes will only be done in compliance with laws of the country where the business transaction(s) happened or are supposed to happen.

12. AMENDMENTS

We may amend this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we amend this Privacy Policy, we will update this page accordingly and notify you electronically, if there are major shifts in the policy. We require you to accept the latest published version in order to be permitted to continue using our services.
